Refund Policy
Returns & Refunds
We want every bottle of Glimmer to arrive ready to celebrate. If something isn't right with your order, we're here to make it right.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. We'll send a free replacement or a full refund, whichever you prefer, and you won't need to send anything back.
Change of Mind
If you've simply changed your mind, we accept returns on unopened, unused bottles in their original packaging within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Return shipping is your responsibility unless the return is due to an error on our end. We're not able to accept returns on opened bottles for change-of-mind requests.
Shipping in Extreme Temperatures
Glimmer is a real wine product and sensitive to heat and freezing during transit. We take care in how we pack and ship, but we can't be held responsible for damage caused by extreme temperatures in transit. If you're ordering during a heat wave or deep freeze, consider expedited shipping or timing your order accordingly.
Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled any time before they enter fulfillment. Once a package is packed and on its way, we're no longer able to cancel it.
How to Start a Return or Refund
Email hello@drinkglimmerwine.com with your order number and the reason for your return. We'll get back to you with next steps, and a return address if one is needed.
Refund Timeline
Once your return is received and inspected, or your claim is approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Questions along the way? Reach us at hello@drinkglimmerwine.com, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm PST.
What changed from the two live versions, and why
- Damage-claim window: 14 days (was 7 on US, 30 on Canada). Splits the difference — generous enough to be trustworthy, tight enough to keep claims tied to an actual shipping issue rather than general spoilage worries.
- Photo required, on both sites. Canada already asks for this; it protects you from open-ended claims and costs the customer nothing.
- Change of mind = refund everywhere, not exchange-only. Canada's current policy only offers an exchange, which reads as stingier than the US site. A refund is the stronger trust signal for a premium DTC brand and it's an easy one to standardize up rather than down.
- No return shipping charged on your error, always. Both sites already do this for damaged/defective; made it explicit and consistent.
- Refund timeline: 5–7 business days, matching what's already live on the US site. Pick one number and hold to it everywhere.
- Freezing/heat disclaimer kept, extended to both sites. It was Canada-only and it's a real risk for a shipped wine product regardless of border.
- One inbox. Right now Canada routes to info@ and US routes to hello@. Doesn't need to be a technical merge, just pick one and update both policy pages and any linked FAQ/contact copy to match.
- Dropped the separate in-store expired-product exchange clause from this draft — that's a retailer-relationship policy, not a DTC returns policy, and mixing it in here is likely why the Canadian version reads more complicated than it needs to. Worth keeping as its own short paragraph or a wholesale/retailer-facing doc instead, so this page stays focused on someone who bought directly from you.
